US to impose ‘highest
level’ sanctions on N Korea: Trump
United States President Donald Trump has said that he will
impose "highest level" of sanctions on the North Korea.
The Hill quoted President Trump as saying that the decision
"should have happened years ago" and will ramp up pressure on the
"murderous regime" to "end its unlawful nuclear and ballistic
missile development."
The US President further said that America was yet again
designating North Korea as a "state sponsor of terrorism."
President Trump announced the move on Monday, during a
public meeting with his Cabinet, at the White House.
"(This) should have happened a long time ago,"
Trump said.
North Korea was removed from the list by President George W
Bush in 2008.
