Apple working on a 9.7-inch iPad under Rs 20,000, to launch it in 2018

After launching the 9.7-inch iPad at $329, Apple is set to give another similar surprise to its fans in the year 2018. Reportedly, the Cupertino-giant is working on one more 9.7-inch iPad, this time at a more affordable price.
As per a report from Digitimes , the company is planning to price this iPad under $259(Rs 16,000 approx). The reports states that " the device should be able to attract more demand from price-oriented consumers, allowing Apple to maintain its present 10 million-unit tablet shipments a quarter." It further adds that Apple, with its new inexpensive 9.7-inch iPad, will compete against the budget tablets from the leading Android  players like Samsung Electronics, Huawei, and Lenovo.
Apple's current 9.7-inch iPad was launched in March this year and retails at $329. It comes with a retina display and is powered by A9 chipset. The processor is coupled with the M9 motion co-processor, and 2GB of RAM. There are two storage options of the iPad- one with 32GB base storage, and the other with 128GB storage.
 
Alongside, Apple is also planning to launch three new iPhones in the upcoming year. As per KGI analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple will launch one with 6.5-inch display, one with 5.8-inch and 6.1-inch model. The one with 6.1-inch will come with LCD display while the 6.5-inch will have an OLED display. Kuo predicts that all the three iPhones will come with FullView display and iPhone X' TrueDepth camera system. He says that the 6.1-inch iPhone will target the lower and mid-range phone market with its price being $749

Google on Thursday announced to rename its year old Android Wear brand to Wear OS. To simplify, Android Wear will henceforth be called Wear OS by Google.
