Moto G6, G6 Plus, G6 Play, X5, Z3 and Z3 Play leak in full glory

As far as leaks go, it looks like one media outlet just hit the motherload. For those wondering what Motorola was planning for 2018, it seems we now have pretty much everything we need to know courtesy Droid Life, which on Tuesday revealed a whole bunch of Moto smartphones that include the Moto X5, Moto G6, Moto G6 Plus, Moto G6 Play, Moto Z3 and Moto Z3 Play along with some of their specifications as well. Fair warning that Droid Life was not able to verify the leaks with a second source so do take them with a pinch of salt.
Let's start with the Moto G6 series that has been known to come out this year since October 201 when tipster Evan Blass tweeted the lineup that includes the Moto G6, Moto G6 Play and Moto G6 Plus. Droid Life has now provided some images that reveal what the G6 series will sport 3D glass on the back, a change in direction from the G5 series' all metal design. Additionally, the G6 line will take design cues from last year's Moto X4, most notably the circular ring around the rear camera. Now, the leak mentions 18:9 displays for all the three Moto G6 series smartphone, but the images suggest otherwise as you can see notable bezels on the top and bottom.

As per the report, the Moto G6 will sport a 5.7-inch 18:9 full-HD+ (1080x2160) display and will be powered by a Snapdragon 450 SoC. It will sport a home button on the bottom that will likely double up as a fingerprint sensor and will house a 3000mAh battery. The Moto G6 will ship with 3GB or 4GB of RAM along with 32GB and 64GB of inbuilt storage, respectively. The dual camera setup on the back will comprise of 12-megapixel and 5-megapixel sensors, while the front will see a 16-megapixel selfie shooter.

The Moto G6 Plus will sport a larger 5.93-inch display with a full-HD+ resolution. It will be powered by a Snapdragon 630 chipset and will come with similar memory and storage options as the G6 as well as an additional 6GB RAM option. The camera sensors and fingerprint placement are reportedly similar to the G6. It will house a slightly bigger 3200mAh battery compared to the G6. The Moto G6 Play on the other hand gets the biggest capacity at 4000mAh and will see the fingerprint sensor on the Moto logo on the back. The Moto G6 Play will sport a 5.7-inch screen with a 720p resolution, and not much else is known as of now.
Next up is the Moto X5, which is arguably the most interesting of all the leaks. The reason being that the X5 could sport an iPhone X-like notch cut out on the top of the display. This is quite surprising and also brings up the question how the Android notifications will work around the notch, if it is indeed true. As far as the rest of the design is concerned, the front will see slim bezels all around for an 18:9 aspect ratio, while the back looks familiar to its predecessor, the Moto X4, as you see the circular watch-like dial around the dual camera setup. As per Droid Life, the Moto X5 will sport a 5.9-inch full-HD+ display. Notably, the handset will sport a total of four cameras (two on the front and two on the back) of unknown specifications.

Lastly, we arrive at the Moto Z3 and Moto Z3 Play, both of which are also likely to sport full-screen displays. This will help them keep up with the current trend while keeping the same form factor to support past Moto Mods. Both the phones are likely to sport 6-inch full-HD+ displays, but not much else is known about the hardware as of now. Additionally, Droid Life has also leaked an upcoming 5G Moto Mod that will add 5G capabilities to a phone. Since 5G trials have already commenced and is the next phase in mobile connectivity, the Mod will keep help some of Motorola's phones stay future-ready. We once again mention that these leaks should be taken with a pinch of salt.
