Sony Xperia XZ Pro launch expected on February 26 at MWC 2018

ony is set to launch something on February 26 at MWC 2018. We do not know for sure, what it would be, but chances are the company may take the stage to announce its next flagship phone, the long-rumoured Xperia XZ Pro. The company may launch other products as well, but clearly, the Xperia XZ Pro is the one to watch out for. This is because, with its next flagship, Sony may be finally looking to offer something that the entire high-end flagship lot is offering and Sony isn't.
It would, to begin with, have a bezel-less screen which means that finally we may have a Sony phone that would cut down on bezels. It is yet to be seen whether Sony would be also willing to let go of its boxy design scheme.
Rumour has it that the Sony Xperia XZ Pro will come with a 5.7-inch 4K display. This would be both OLED as well as boast of an unusual aspect ratio of 18:9: both firsts for the company in question. It would be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor and come with 6GB RAM and up to 128GB of storage. On the camera front, it is said to a dual camera system on the rear consisting of one 18-megapixel sensor and another 12-megapixel sensor. On the front, it would come with a 13-megapixel camera. The Xperia XZ Pro is further said to be IP68 water and dust resistant and cram in a 3,420 mAh battery on the inside.

Sony's current-generation flagship phone, aka the Xperia XZ Premium, was also announced at MWC last year, so chances of the Xperia XZ Pro making the cut at this year's event can't be ruled out.
The Xperia XZ Premium sports a 19-megapixel Motion Eye camera system on the rear assisted with predictive phase detection and laser autofocus, but no Optical Image Stabilisation. There is EIS for videos though.
The USP of Sony's Motion Eye camera system is said to be the fact that it can do 960-frames-per-second slow-motion videos, 4X times slower than any other smartphone available in the market right now, and 'dramatise your every moment' according to Sony.
Elsewhere, the Xperia XZ Premium comes with a 4K screen (3840x2160 pixel resolution) and adds HDR 10 into the mix.
