Suspense rules every page in thriller writer Harlan Coben's 'Don't Let Go'

thriller writer Harlan Coben's last 10 novels have topped the New York Times bestseller list, so it should come as no surprise that his latest book, Don't Let Go, is already a hit. The stand-alone novel revolves around Napoleon Dumas or Nap, a cop determined to solve the mystery of his twin brother Leo's death 15 years earlier. Most people believe Leo and his girlfriend Diana were killed by a train by accident or as part of a suicide pact. But Nap isn't convinced.
Then police discover the fingerprints of Maura Wells, Nap's ex-girlfriend, at the site of a murder of another colleague, Rex Canton. Wells disappeared on the very night Leo and his girlfriend were killed. So Nap figures something must be afoot.
Helping him with the case, Nap's old school friend Ellie suggests that Leo and Diana's killing could be connected to the secret Conspiracy Club that included the two dead teenagers and four other friends-including Maura.
Like Sherlock, Nap is a half-hearted sociopath who takes pains to appear friendly enough to his immediate neighbours. A part-time vigilante, he doesn't mind beating up bad guys or breaking their legs.
But his readiness to pay the price if he's caught proves to the reader that he'll go to any length to get what he wants, making him easy to empathise with. As will all Coben novels, unexpected twists keep the reader hooked and suspense rules every page.

New UGC rules permit third-party agencies to accredit higher education institutes

Agencies other than the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) will soon be able to evaluate higher education institutions as the University Grants Commission (UGC) has passed a new regulation permitting their entry. The new rules, which were approved by the Commission in a meeting held this month, enables UGC to grant licences to third-party agencies for accreditation of educational institutes. The regulation now awaits HRD Ministry’s nod. Among the new accreditation bodies will be one spearheaded by the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), sources told The Indian Express. The premier engineering schools, in a meeting of IIT directors held in Chennai last month, have agreed to set up a Section 8 company, which will apply for a licence under the new UGC regulation. Bangladesh: Govt takes up Ashrayan-3 project to shelter Rohingya refugees

In addition to the temporarily shelter of Rohingya refugees, the cost of construction of necessary infrastructure for the island will be BDT 2,312 crores. The project will be implemented by the Bangladesh Navy under the Prime Minister's Office of the government's priority list. Bangladesh government has taken a project called 'Ashrayan-3' for temporary housing of one lakh Rohingya people. This project will be implemented in Bhasanchar of Hatiya upazila in Noakhali district. Although Bangladesh has more than 1 million Rohingya refugees in which, more than 6,25,000 Rohingyas have fled violence in Myanmar to seek refuge in Cox's Bazar of Bangladesh, since August 25.
